This 1956 gem features Nat Cole's return to the piano and the sound of his great '40s trio sound. Added to the original 12 tunes are five additional tracks and one alternate take to complete the sessions. Violinist Stuff Smith, alto saxophonist Willie Smith and trombonist Juan Tizol are featured on four songs each while trumpeter Harry Sweets Edison is on five, including great remakes of "Sweet Lorraine", "Route 66" and "It's Only A Paper Moon". This is one of his best and most cohesive albums.
