Und das nach über 50 Karrierejahren. Begleitet wird der Maestro von The Lighthouse Band, einem Trio aus bedeutend jüngeren Musikern, dem u. a. Snarky Puppys Michael League angehört. Durch diese Kombination vermeidet es »Live At The Capitol Theatre« zur reinen Greatest-Hits-Nostalgie zu werden. Auch wenn Klassiker wie »Déjà Vu« oder »Woodstock« natürlich nicht fehlen.

Die Folk-Rock-Legende setzt seine späte Renaissance mit der Veröffentlichung von »Live At The Capitol Theatre« im November 2022 über BMG fort. Auch in seinem achten Lebensjahrzehnt beschreitet er neue Wege. Crosby schließt sich erneut mit The Lighthouse Band zusammen, mit der er seit dem »Lighthouse«-Album von 2016 zusammenarbeitet. Crosby und die Lighthouse Band entdeckten schnell, dass die Chemie während ihrer gemeinsamen Tournee 2018 zur Unterstützung von Crosbys sechstem Soloalbum »Sky Trails« (2017, BMG) stimmte und gipfelte in diesem live aufgenommenen Set in der letzten Nacht der Tournee.
